Sellers Will  Need to Decide Whether, and How Much, to Pay a Buyers Broker

Imagine you're playing a game where you want to trade toys with your friends. Before, one of your friends would help you trade and tell both you and your friend how much candy (money) to give them as a thank-you. But now, there’s a new rule that says you and your friend need to decide on your own how much candy you want to give them separately.

This way, everyone knows exactly what they're giving to the helper and can decide what works best for them. It helps make things fair and clear for everyone! 😊

When you're selling your home, it's a good idea to offer compensation to the buyer's agent. Why? Because it encourages knowledgeable, experienced agents to bring their buyers to your home. A great agent on the other side helps make the entire process smoother and more professional—they guide their buyers, manage paperwork, and help negotiate so everyone is happy.

If sellers choose not to offer compensation, it can discourage skilled agents from showing your home. Without a strong advocate for the buyer, misunderstandings and delays could happen, or you might miss out on serious, qualified buyers altogether. Offering fair compensation ensures a positive experience for everyone involved!
